Warden of Trinity College
Professor Ken Hinchcliff

Ken Hinchcliff became Warden of Trinity College in September 2015 after serving as the Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary and Agricultural Sciences at the University of Melbourne. Prior to that, he was Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Science from 2007 to 2014.
Professor Hinchcliff graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science, and later earned a Master of Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a PhD from the Ohio State University in 1990. He was an academic in the College of Veterinary Medicine at Ohio State University from 1990 to 2007, rising to Professor. At the University of Melbourne he led the formation of the joint Faculty of Veterinary and Agricultural Sciences, directing the review and renewal of the undergraduate teaching programs in that Faculty, and was responsible for the introduction of the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine program, which the University began teaching in 2011. He has extensive experience teaching undergraduate and graduate students, and is internationally recognised as a scholar of veterinary internal medicine and exercise physiology. His extensive publications include co-authorship of the 9th, 10th and 11th editions of Veterinary Medicine, the most cited veterinary text book, and lead editor of the 1st and 2nd editions of Equine Sports Medicine and Surgery. He is the Co-Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Veterinary Internal Medicine, a member of the Zoological Parks and Gardens Board of Victoria. Professor Hinchcliff is leading an extensive and exhaustive strategic planning process for Trinity College, including consideration of the roles of each of the Pathways School, Residential College and Theological School in achieving Trinity’s strategic purpose - Trinity College is a vibrant, diverse community inspiring and enabling students of exceptional promise to imagine and achieve a better world.

Dean & Deputy Warden of Trinity College
Mr Campbell Bairstow

Campbell Bairstow was appointed Dean & Deputy Warden in January 2008, when he returned to the College after serving as General Manager, Alumni Relations, at the University of Melbourne. In the past decade he has led important pastoral and program reforms in the Residential College.
A past Principal of St Anne’s and Gippsland Grammar School in regional Victoria, and then Director of Development and Marketing at Scotch College in Perth, Mr Bairstow first joined Trinity as Associate Director of Development (now Advancement) in January 2003. In that role he contributed to the success of the multimillion dollar ‘Campaign for Trinity’. In 2005, he was seconded from his Development role to serve as Acting Dean of Trinity. A graduate in Arts from The University of Western Australia and a member of St George’s College at that University, Mr Bairstow also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Education from Murdoch University. He is a former Chairman of the Western Australian Division of the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, and is at present a Lay Canon of St Paul’s Cathedral, Melbourne.
Dean of the Pathways School
Ms Denise Bush

Denise Bush has been Dean of the Pathways School since February 2014, having worked in international education since 1988. She is responsible for the Trinity College Foundation Studies program with over 2,000 students and the Young Leaders Programs, held in July and December each year.
Ms Bush has held senior management roles in university pathway colleges at the Australian National University, La Trobe Melbourne and Hawthorn-Melbourne. She was previously an Executive in the Department of Education, Science and Training in Canberra, working in higher education program management, international education sector liaison and transnational education policy development. She has held board positions on the boards of English Australia and NEAS Australia and is a TEQSA Expert on ELICOS and Foundation Studies programs. Ms Bush has a research interest in English as a Second Language and her Master’s in Education thesis examined the criteria that university academics employ when assessing the writing of students. She has taught in secondary, TAFE and university programs, as well as ELICOS programs
Director of Advancement
Mr Scott Charles

Scott Charles's involvement with the College stretches back to when he was a student in the Residential College in the late 80's. Since then, he has always stayed connected to Trinity. He was a Residential Tutor in the mid 90's, celebrated his marriage in 2003 at the Chapel and has held many voluntary positions on committees over the years. In 2013, after 15 years working with the global food manufacturer Mars Confectionery, in roles in Australia, the United States, China and South East Asia, Mr Charles was recruited to the position of Director of Advancement. Mr Charles leads a team whose responsibility is to gather the support, both moral and financial, to allow the College to bring its exciting initiatives to life. Mr Charles believes he has the best job in the world. 'I'm either catching up with old friends or meeting incredibly interesting people and talking to them all about projects Trinity can undertake to make the world a better place.'
Director of Human Resources
Ms Alison Menzies

Alison Menzies became the Director of Human Resources at Trinity College in 2014, having worked at the College since 1997. Ms Menzies came to the College as the inaugural student counsellor in Foundation Studies program, now within the Pathways School. She then moved into marketing the program and went on to spend nearly 15 years leading the Marketing and Admissions team in the Pathways School. In this capacity, Ms Menzies has had the opportunity to travel around the world and meet many prospective Trinity students and their families. Prior to working at Trinity, Ms Menzies lived in London and worked as a social worker. She is a three-time graduate of the University of Melbourne, with a Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Social Work and a Graduate Diploma in Management.
Director Major Projects & Infrastructure, Director Planitgreen
Mr Gary Norman

Gary Norman has been at Trinity since 2004. He is the Director of Major Projects and Infrastructure and planitgreen, Trinity's sustainability initiative. Mr Norman and his team are responsible for the building of the state-of-the-art Gateway building. The $28 million building, is the largest in the history of the College and forms a bridge between the College and the University of Melbourne. Prior to this, Mr Norman was the Chief Financial Officer until October 2014. His career has involved roles in the ‘high tech’ industry (from small start-up companies through to local and international public companies), public utilities, engineering and manufacturing, and for a number of years operating his own consulting company. Mr Norman has held roles in general management, finance and accounting, product development, production planning, sales and sales management. He holds a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) from RMIT, a Graduate Certificate in Business (Marketing), a Certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace Training and has attended a number of short courses through the AIM, Dale Carnegie Institute, IBM and other organisations.
Chief Financial Officer
Ms Lyn Shalless
FCA, GAICD
Lyn Shalless joined Trinity College as Chief Financial Officer in March 2017. Ms Shalless has over 25 years senior management experience in the corporate sector for both private and ASX listed entities. These roles included responsibility for management of risk, internal audit, multinational tax, investor relations and corporate finance. Ms Shalless has also acted as probity adviser to various Victorian government departments on major infrastructure procurement projects. Ms Shalless is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand. She also holds a Masters of Financial Management (Central Queensland University), and a Bachelor of Business - Accountancy (Queensland Institute of Technology).
