Senior Common Room

The Senior Common Room (SCR) is a meeting place for members of the Trinity community. It offers an opportunity for staff of the College to gather, exchange ideas and enjoy the company of others in this highly talented and diverse community, as well as access to the room itself.

All staff who, in their various ways, support the educational mission of the College are eligible to join either as Associate or Voting (fee-paying) members. The latter's subscription is $60 per semester, for which members receive discounts at all ticketed events during the year.

The SCR runs a year-long program of events, including:

  • the SCR Garden party, held on the first Wednesday of February

  • dinners and other communal dining opportunities

  • brown-bag lunchtime research seminars, held on a designated Friday each month

  • a winery visit in April

  • other tours in and around Melbourne

  • excursions to performances by the Bell Shakespeare Company (in June and September).
