We want to offer the Trinity experience to the most deserving students, regardless of their financial means and welcome students of diverse backgrounds from across Australia. The Trinity Access Program scholarships are for students and families for who do not have the financial means to attend college without full scholarship support.
Eligibility
- You must be a Year 12 student or first year university student planning to commence or continue a bachelor degree at the University of Melbourne in 2020.
- You must undertake your course as a full-time student.
- You must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident. (Please note that any upfront university fees for permanent residents are not included in the scholarship.)
- This scholarship is only open to students experiencing significant and demonstrated financial hardship.
Criteria
Selection will be based on all-round talent and will take into account some or all of the following:
- The talent you can bring to Trinity College.
- Demonstrated history of high-level involvement in your school, your community and/or sport.
- Your level of financial disadvantage.
Value and duration
- Total package worth $100,000 over three years.
What’s included?
- Residential College attendance for three years.
- Three meals a day, seven days a week; private bedroom/study; access to common areas and facilities including a library, dining hall and café.
- Living allowance to enable full participation in college life.
- Significant academic support through professional tutorials and consultations.
- Personal support from staff, including a dedicated wellbeing team.
- Participation in sports, cultural, leadership and social programs.
- Depending on individual circumstances, there is the possibility of receiving further financial assistance to help pay for resources such as computers and text books.
Special conditions
Residential College scholarship holders are expected to:
- maintain a high standard of achievement in the areas of endeavour for which the scholarship was awarded
- make a positive and enthusiastic contribution to college life.

These scholarships enable students from a variety of backgrounds, regardless of their financial means, to study at Trinity College and the University of Melbourne.
Support is offered to students of diverse backgrounds including:
- those from a regional or remote location
- those experiencing financial hardship
- those who identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander
- those who attended government, independent or religious based schools
- children of Anglican clergy.

- You must undertake your course as a full-time student.
- You must be an Australian/domestic citizen or international student.
- You must be a new student intending to study at the University of Melbourne or the University of Divinity, or be a current student of the Residential College at Trinity.
Criteria
Selection will be based on all-round talent and will take into account some or all of the following:
- the talent you can bring to Trinity College
- a demonstrated history of high-level involvement in your school, your community and/or sport.
Value and duration
- Residential scholarships vary depending on individual circumstance, but range from $5000 to $30,000+
- One year (with the option to re-apply in following years)

Residential College scholarship holders are expected to:
- maintain a high standard of achievement in the areas of endeavour for which the scholarship was awarded
- contribute positively and enthusiastically to college life.

Trinity College awards a range of scholarships to enable students from rural or regional locations to study at Trinity College and the University of Melbourne.
Eligibility
To be eligible for this scholarship, you need to:
- be admitted as a resident at Trinity College
- be from a rural or regional location
- be enrolled at the University of Melbourne
- undertake your course as a full-time student
- be an Australian/domestic student or international student.
Criteria
Applicants must demonstrate an intent to make a positive contribution to the Trinity College community.
Value and duration
College fee remission is determined on an individual basis, with a value of $5000 to $30,000+ for one year (with the option to re-apply in following years)
Special conditions
Residential College scholarship holders are expected to:
- maintain a high standard of achievement in the areas of endeavour for which the scholarship was awarded
- contribute positively and enthusiastically to college life.
