Young Leaders Program Scholarships

Our Young Leaders Program scholarships supports students so they can broaden their outlook on learning and study at Australia’s number 1 ranked university.

Indigenous Scholarship

Trinity College offers a number of one-week full and partial scholarships for Indigenous Australian students to allow them to participate in our Young Leaders Program.

Eligibility

You must provide proof of Aboriginality to apply.

Criteria

Selection will take into account some or all of the following:

  • the talent you can bring to Trinity College
  • demonstrated history of high-level involvement in your school, your community and/or sport
  • your financial situation.

Value and duration

  • The one-week scholarship has a value of $1990 + GST (full) or $995 + GST (partial).

The offer of a full or partial scholarship is made at the discretion of Trinity College, based on your personal statement and financial situation.   

Special conditions

  • Scholarships cannot be deferred.
  • Individuals can only receive one scholarship per program.

What next?

To apply for a scholarship please complete and include the following:

  • Scholarship application form (available soon).
  • Young Leaders Program application form
  • A 300-word personal statement that outlines how you meet the scholarships criteria above as part of your YLP application. Please note you only need to submit one personal statement.
  • Proof of Aboriginality document.
  • A copy of your most recent full school report.

Successful applicants will be notified by email.

Low SES Scholarship

Trinity College offers a number of one-week full and partial scholarships to Australian students from low socioeconomic backgrounds to allow them to participate in our Young Leaders Program. 

Eligibility

You must be able to demonstrate financial hardship.

Criteria

Selection will take into account some or all of the following:

  • the talent you can bring to Trinity College
  • demonstrated history of high-level involvement in your school, your community and/or sport
  • your financial situation, based on evidence such as a health care card and a statement of financial position signed by a teacher or administrator.

Value and duration

  • The one-week scholarship has a value of $1990 + GST (full) or $995 + GST (partial).

The offer of a full or partial scholarship is made at the discretion of Trinity College, based on your personal statement and financial situation.

  • Scholarships cannot be deferred.
  • Individuals can only receive one scholarship per program.

Refugee Scholarship

Trinity College offers a number of one-week full and partial scholarships to refugee students to allow them to participate in our Young Leaders Program.

Eligibility

You must be able to demonstrate your refugee status in Australia.

Criteria

Selection will take into account some or all of the following:

  • the talent you can bring to Trinity College
  • demonstrated history of high-level involvement in your school, your community and/or sport
  • your refugee status, as shown via a document signed by your teacher or agency.

Value and duration

  • The one-week scholarship has a value of $1990 + GST (full) or $995 + GST (partial).

The offer of a full or partial scholarship is made at the discretion of Trinity College, based on your personal statement.

  • Scholarships cannot be deferred.
  • Individuals can only receive one scholarship per program.

Regional Victoria Scholarship

Trinity College offers a number of one-week full and partial scholarships to Australian students from towns and cities in regional Victoria to allow them to participate in our Young Leaders Program.

Eligibility

You must be from a regional town or city in Victoria, as shown on this map.

Criteria

Selection will take into account some or all of the following:

  • the talent you can bring to Trinity College
  • demonstrated history of high-level involvement in your school, your community and/or sport
  • your home address.

Value and duration

  • The one-week scholarship has a value of $1990 + GST (full) or $995 + GST (partial).

The offer of a full or partial scholarship is made at the discretion of Trinity College, based on your personal statement.

Special conditions

  • Scholarships cannot be deferred.
  • Individuals can only receive one scholarship per program.

What next?

To apply for a scholarship please complete and include the following:
