Trinity Foundation Studies alumni receive scholarships

On Tuesday 17 March, the University of Melbourne’s Faculty of Business and Economics awarded a number of scholarships to new students.

Eight Foundation Studies alumni received scholarships from the Faculty, representing approximately one third of the awards to new students this semester.

Awarded students were from China, Indonesia, Cambodia, Myanmar and Thailand. Two students received 'International Undergraduate Partner Scholarships', which provide substantial fee remission every year, with the other students receiving the 'Bachelor of Commerce Global Scholarships', which grant a fee remission of 20 per cent per year.

A number of the students reminisced about their positive Trinity experience. Clara Tang Fu Lin from Myanmar stated that:

‘Trinity offered an education that was like no other I had experienced. The learning experience has been nurturing and kind above all, and that gave me the space to love learning and growing as an individual and a global citizen. ... TCFS Program has been supportive because of my incredible teachers, as well as the administration who kept everything running really well.’

Uytak Te from Cambodia stated that:

‘Trinity is a great place to study. I got support and help as well as encouragement from lecturers and tutors during my study at Trinity. Having a mentor is the best thing ever that I had in the campus, who I could talk to if I had any difficulties. Studying in Trinity helped me to adapt to the new environment.’

Trinity College warmly congratulates all eight recipients in receiving these prestigious Commerce scholarships.
