Prospective Students
In 2019, Trinity College will award sixty 50% tuition fee remissions for students joining the Foundation Studies program. Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of academic merit and allocated on a competitive basis. Recipients will be chosen from each Foundation Studies program and by geographic region.
To be eligible, prospective students need to have excellent high school results, not be a permanent resident of Australia, and have lodged a Trinity College Foundation Studies Application Form. Note there is no separate application for the scholarship.
There are four selection rounds with a designated number of scholarships for each round:
- November 2018 for the January to March 2019 intakes
- May 2019 for the July 2019 intakes
- June 2019 for the August 2019 intakes
- August 2019 for the October 2019 intake
Successful candidates will be notified via email within two weeks of the selection round being held.

Scholarships For Foundation Studies Graduates Entering The University Of Melbourne
Trinity College Foundation Studies students have regularly been among the recipients of scholarship to the University of Melbourne including the University's International Undergraduate Fee Remission Scholarships, which cover full or partial tuition fees for the normal duration of an undergraduate course.
Alan Patterson International Scholarship
Established in memory of Mr Alan Patterson, a former Director of Trinity College Foundation Studies, this scholarship is awarded to a graduate of Trinity College Foundation Studies who, in going on to undergraduate study at the University of Melbourne, will be a member of the Residential College. In the absence of a suitable graduate of Trinity College Foundation Studies, the scholarship may be offered to another international student coming into, or already in, residence at Trinity College
Trinity International Scholarships
Up to five partial residential scholarships are available for outstanding students of the Trinity College Foundation Studies program who are admitted into residence at Trinity as undergraduates at the University of Melbourne. Scholarships are awarded primarily on academic merit.
