Fellows & Visiting Scholars

Trinity College acknowledges the contribution of many eminent persons through the bestowing of fellowships and the appointment of visiting scholars.

Fellows

Fellows are of three kinds:

  • Honorary Fellows are outstanding leaders in the academy, business or professions, or in the Church, who have made particular contributions in these fields and to the College. This office is the highest honour the College can bestow.
  • Senior Fellows are Honorary Fellows of long service to the College.
  • Academic and Teaching Fellows are leading scholars and professionals who are engaged with the life of the College and active in research or teaching.

Visiting Scholars

Academic life at Trinity is enriched by the presence of distinguished international visiting scholars who reside in the College while they undertake research and/or teaching at the University of Melbourne.
