Major New Scholarships in Theology at Trinity College

The late Joan Adams of Melbourne has left a substantial bequest in favour of the Frank Woods Studentship Fund within the Trinity College Theological School. The bequest enables the School to create three new endowed scholarships for theological study.

Established in 1877, Trinity College Theological School is committed to shaping men and women who wish to pursue ordination in the Anglican Church, develop skills for lay ministry, or explore Christian faith for personal or vocational enrichment and development.

The Joan Adams Scholarships will be awarded to outstanding students enrolling in Bachelor, Master or Doctoral degree programs of the University of Divinity who have the ability to provide leadership with the School, the College and the wider Church.

Up to three scholarships will be available at any one time, each valued between $15,000 and $35,000 per annum. Scholarships will normally be awarded for up to three years, subject to annual review, and will be determined on the basis of proven academic ability and potential leadership qualities.

Applicant should be active members of the Anglican Church of Australia, and be intending to study full time. At least one scholarship is available for residence in Trinity College, but all Scholars will be required to contribute to the active life of the College and its Chapel, and thus will need to live in or near Melbourne.

Further information and the application form is available here
